Q. I have never had a bikini wax
before and was hoping someone could walk me through the process. I just want to
know what to expect -- what clothing is removed, should I ask for a certain type
of wax to be used, how much hair growth should I allow, etc..
A. Having a bikini wax done for the
first time can be a little nerve racking, so it's good that you are asking
questions.
When you go in for your appointment, your esthetician will
probably ask you a few questions about how much hair you want removed and from
where. You can have as little or as much hair removed as you want. You can go
conservative and just have the hair removed that would show in a bikini or you
can have everything removed, including from the labia and the backside. She will
probably step out of the room and have you change out of your undies and into
"spa panties", which are basically disposable panties. That way if wax
gets on them you can just throw them away. She will determine what type of wax
to be used depending upon the type of bikini wax you request. The hair length
should be at least 1/4 inch long. If you have shaved, wait about two weeks
before being waxed. And no, it doesn't hurt as bad as every one says. :) Once
you wax, you will never be a slave to the razor again. You will wonder why you
didn't do it sooner. good luck!!
