Identifying and Developing the Characteristics of a Master Educator

This interactive program is designed to allow educators to take a close look at who they are and identify areas for improvement on a personal and professional level. Key concepts in time management and event control, strategies for building self-confidence, steps for independent action and self-motivation, and effective communication and generational skills will be covered. Participants will also discover steps for developing a winning personality and positive attitude.

This years Seminar will be presented by: Lisha Barnes - Educator, Author & Consultant

Lisha has a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Eastern New Mexico University. She is licensed as a Barber, Cosmetologist, and Instructor in New Mexico and as an Instructor in Arizona. 

Lisha co-authored Milady’s Standard Study Guide, The Essential Companion, 2000, 2004 and 2008 editions with Letha Barnes. She wrote the Instructor’s Guide for Milady’s Standard Fundamentals of Cosmetology CD-ROM, 2000 and 2008 editions, and is a contributing author to Milady’s Standard Cosmetology, 2004 and 2008 editions. In addition to being one of The Career Institute's most highly requested presenters, Lisha currently serves as financial aid assistant and educational advisor for seventeen cosmetology schools.
