UVBH currently runs and supports 23 housing locations throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties in New York. All locations are drug and alcohol free and properties are either owned or leased with capital leases (to purchase) by United Veterans Beacon House. In each of our locations we run programs that align with needs of that resident population. Our Senior Veteran population has very different needs than our single non-veteran population. We make sure that we match our residents with the housing and program that will meet their needs and offer them the necessary environment for their personal success. We are always expanding and desire to provide more housing and services to those in need.

Each resident is assigned a Case Manger. The Case Manager is responsible for assessment, service-plan development as well as coordination and implementation of all services. In addition the case managers connect resident Veterans to the entitlements they qualify for such as Social Security, Disability and/or Service Connected Benefits.

UVBH provides valuable training and support in Resume Writing, Job Readiness Workshops, Job Search and Interview Skills to both homeless Veterans and those returning from active duty in our current military efforts. Our goal is to assist this population in securing sustainable employment, giving them the opportunity to become independent and self sufficient.

We provide our residents with transportation to and from all medical appointments, emotional counseling visits and job training and educational classes.

A professional team of Case Managers and Clinicians qualified to respond to and handle any crisis situation @ a UVBH residence 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Our main pantry is located at our headquarters and we have satellite pantries in each of our residential locations. Our pantry provides both residents and & those in need in the community with food, toiletries and household supplies.

Also located at our headquarters, the thrift store provides Veterans and those in need in the local community with vouchers for food, clothing and furniture.
